A Tiny Book Store
& a never-ending BOGOF
This is my somewhat bedraggled, first bound proof copy of Postcards From a Little Life.
I have a few boxes of copies in pristine condition, and when those run dry, I’ll order some more.
This is my Substack tiny book store, and I am selling my book at buy one, get one free. This is not a marketing ploy. It is how I am going to be selling Postcards ad infinitum. It will always be two for the price of one plus postage.
Here is my ‘because’.
If I do this I break even.
Good enough for me.
It was never a money or status building endeavour – just it transpires, a making myself into a book, and a wish to find new hands to hold me and eyes and hearts to read and feel me.
I love being read.
It tastes like connection, intimacy and even love.
It is one of the three core ways I offer myself up to this beautiful and beleaguered world.
I write.
I do a thing that goes by the name of psychotherapy, but feels more and more stripped down to trusting myself as a safe place for humans that are in some way looking for okay-ness. I’m quite good at finding people, and helping them throw open some windows to what is already here, and always has been precious and enough.
I also make things out of broken things. This one is relatively new, and I’m beginning to understand they are 3D poems.
So, back to my tiny bookshop:
Cover price of £14 plus £4 postage will get you two books.
My shameless lyrical heart will keep this going, a continuous flowing river. I love the wish and the hope that you might buy one for you and gift the other outwards and onwards.
Like I said, I love to be read, I feel you feeling me – it’s connection – simple as that. I know myself as a writer, and I know how it is that for a certain demographic of humans being human, my writing can touch a place where lonely, passion and longing, hang out.
Just that – in humility, and in a kind of devotion to the broken and the whole that makes us all kin, no matter if we can bear the vulnerability of that or not.
If you’d like 2 books for the price of one, you can let me know via text or WhatsApp on 07881 931640, or email me on: leonardthedog10@gmail.com.
You can also buy Postcards From a Little Life, from Amazon Prime (or non-prime) and any bookshop anywhere will be able to order it for you.
